SUMMARY:

Dangerous and vicious dogs. Authorizes any county, city or town to enact an ordinance to control dangerous or vicious dogs. Currently, only certain highly populated urban localities in Virginia are authorized to enact such an ordinance. The bill clarifies that localities seeking to enact a dangerous or vicious dog ordinance have to adopt an ordinance which follows the provisions of the state statute.
