SUMMARY:

Virginia Retirement System Oversight Act. Creates a mechanism by which the General Assembly may fulfill its constitutional mandate to oversee and evaluate the management and performance of the Virginia Retirement System on a continuing basis. The bill designates the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission ("JLARC") as the General Assembly's oversight agency for such purposes and specifically provides JLARC with the right of access and other powers, as well as the funding necessary to fulfill this function.
