SUMMARY:

Child protective services; reports. Provides that the period of time in which a local department of social services must determine whether a report of child abuse or neglect is founded or unfounded may be extended from 45 to no more than 60 days if the local department provides written justification for the extension. The bill also requires that the person who is the subject of the investigation be notified of the determination.
