SUMMARY:

Distribution of tobacco to minors. Prohibits the "distribution" of tobacco to minors. Current law prohibits sale to or purchase for minors. This amendment is necessary to ensure continued receipt of Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant funds from the United States government. The amendment is recommended by the Secretary of Health and Human Resources.
