SUMMARY:
Penalty for use of a firearm. Adds carjacking to the list of felonies for which a separate penalty is prescribed if a firearm is used. The minimum mandatory penalty for use of a firearm in the commission of a felony (§ 18.2-53.1) remains at three years for the first offense and five years for a second or subsequent offense.
