SUMMARY:
Housing; Virginia Fair Housing Law. Guarantees the right to a jury trial in fair housing cases and ensures that there is no limitation on punitive damages which may be awarded in fair housing cases. The provisions are necessary to keep the Commonwealth in substantial compliance with federal fair housing laws in order to obtain federal fair housing money.
