SUMMARY:
Handgun purchase waiting period. Requires any person seeking to acquire a handgun from a dealer to wait until the fifth calendar day following his written application therefor to actually receive it. A false statement by the purchaser on an application is punishable as a Class 5 felony, and noncompliance by a dealer is punishable as a Class 1 misdemeanor.
