SUMMARY:

Banking and finance; out-of-state savings institutions. Eliminates regional restrictions on interstate activities by savings institutions. Current law limits interstate banking for state-chartered savings institutions to fifteen Southeastern states (plus the District of Columbia). Federally-chartered savings institutions are currently authorized to engage in nationwide interstate activities.
