SUMMARY:
Certificate of Public Need. Provides an exemption from the moratorium on nursing facility bed construction for a facility located in Charlottesville if the total number of beds to be converted from hospital to nursing facility beds does not exceed thirty beds. The facility will provide nursing services to patients transferred to, committed to, or discharged from facilities owned by the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services and from the local psychiatric hospital. The facility must executed an agreement with the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services to provide such services.
