SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 76
Proclaiming April 18-24, 1994, as Brooke Point High School Dedication Week.

WHEREAS, Brooke Point High School, in Stafford County, opened its doors for the first time in the fall of 1993; and

WHEREAS, Brooke Point High School offers the community a state-of-the-art facility, including such innovations as a school-wide networked instructional and administrative communication system, the first advanced networked technology lab in a Virginia high school, a broadcast studio, and an electronic classroom; and

WHEREAS, in addition to advanced technology, Brooke Point High School provides an outstanding faculty and staff who are dedicated to quality education, academic excellence, and preparation of Brooke Point students for life's challenges and successes; and

WHEREAS, Brooke Point High School enjoys exceptional support from students and parents in the central and north Stafford communities; and

WHEREAS, on April 24, 1994, Brooke Point High School will be formally dedicated; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby proclaim the week of April 18-24, 1994, as Brooke Point High School Dedication Week; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Kerrington Y. Tillery, principal of Brooke Point High School, in honor of this most auspicious occasion.
