HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 303 Offered January 25, 1994 Commending the Narrows High School football team. ---------- Patrons--Baker; Senator: Trumbo ----------

WHEREAS, the Narrows High School football team completed one of its most successful seasons in 1993; and

WHEREAS, the Green Wave, led by District Coach of the Year, Don Lowe, rolled to a 9-3 record and finished as runner-up in the Group A, Region C Division; and

WHEREAS, Michael "Whitey" Blankenship won All-State and All-Region honors and was joined on the All-District team by Jason Buckland, Gary Lowery, Brian Ballard, Brett Mosely, and Shannon Harman; and

WHEREAS, also winning post-season honors were Emory Turner, Henry Minton, Adam Lowe, and Jeff White; and

WHEREAS, the 1993 success of the Green Wave football team of Narrows High School is testament to the hard work and spirit of the team, the coaches, and the team's many supporters in the Narrows community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend the Narrows High School football team for its fine 1993 season; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Head Coach Don Lowe with the best wishes of the General Assembly.
