Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 15.1-518 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 15.1-518. Prohibiting shooting of firearms, compound bows, crossbows, longbows, recurve bows, or air-operated or gas-operated weapons in certain areas.

Any county may prohibit the shooting of firearms or air-operated or gas-operated weapons or compound bow, crossbow, longbow or recurve bow in any areas of the county which are in the opinion of the board of supervisors so heavily populated as to make such conduct dangerous to the inhabitants thereof.

Any county may prohibit a person from shooting a compound bow, crossbow, longbow or recurve bow at or upon the property of another without permission.
