CHAPTER 163 An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 1.1 of Chapter 3 of Title 28.2 a section numbered 28.2-302.7:1, relating to reissuance of saltwater recreational boat fishing licenses. [H 904] Approved April 1, 1994

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 1.1 of Chapter 3 of Title 28.2 a section numbered 28.2-302.7:1 as follows:

§ 28.2-302.7:1. Reissuance of licenses for recreational boats.

The Commission shall provide for the reissuance of a saltwater recreational fishing license to a person who holds a valid license for a recreational boat issued pursuant to § 28.2-302.7 and who has (i) transferred ownership of the boat, and (ii) is the owner of another recreational boat. In order to obtain a reissued license for the other recreational boat, the owner shall furnish to the Commission the license and accompanying decal issued for the boat, and shall provide any additional information required by the Commission of an applicant for a new recreational boat license. If the complete decal cannot be produced intact, the owner shall furnish the portion of the decal containing the license number. The cost of reissuing a license shall be five dollars. A reissued license shall be valid for the balance of the term of the original license.
