CHAPTER 94
An Act to amend and reenact § 1.2 and the second enactment of Chapter 128 of the Acts of Assembly of 1989, which provided a charter for the Town of Blackstone, in Nottoway County, relating to boundaries of the Town.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 1.2 of Chapter 128 of the Acts of Assembly of 1989 is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 1.2. Boundaries.

The territory embraced within the Town of Blackstone is that territory in the County of Nottoway, Virginia, as set forth in § 2 of Chapter 328 of the Acts of the Assembly of 1914, and the annexation orders of the Circuit Court of Nottoway County, entered September 10, 1970, and November 7, 1973 a joint resolution and ordinance of the Town Council of the Town of Blackstone, Virginia, and the Board of Supervisors of Nottoway County, Virginia, adjusting the corporate boundaries between the Town of Blackstone and the County of Nottoway; said resolution and ordinance being recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Nottoway County, Virginia, in Deed Book 274, page 197.

2. That the second enactment of Chapter 128 of the Acts of Assembly of 1989 is amended and reenacted as follows:

2. That Chapter 328, as amended, excepting § 2 thereof, of the Acts of Assembly of 1914 is repealed.

3. That an emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
