1994 SESSION
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 63.1-61 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 63.1-61. Service at pleasure of board or superintendent.
The local superintendent and other employees shall serve at the pleasure of
the local board, or other appointing authority, subject to the provisions of
the merit system plan as defined in § 63.1-87, and if such. If
other employees be are employed by the local
superintendent, they shall serve at the pleasure of the local
superintendent, within the provisions of the merit system plan; provided,
however, that in no event shall an employee serve after attaining the age
seventy.
