CHAPTER 9 An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Chapter 22 of Title 38.2 a section numbered 38.2-2230, relating to motor vehicle insurance; rental reimbursement coverage. [H 245] Approved March 3, 1994

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Chapter 22 of Title 38.2 a section numbered 38.2-2230 as follows:

§ 38.2-2230. Mandatory offer of rental reimbursement coverage.

Every insurer issuing a new or renewal policy of motor vehicle insurance, as defined in § 38.2-2212, which provides comprehensive or collision coverage, shall offer in writing to the named insured the option of purchasing rental reimbursement coverage.
