of the Departments of Health, Social Services, Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services, and Criminal Justice Services as well as the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, local law enforcement, child protective services, the Medical Society of Virginia, the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians, the Virginia Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians, paramedics, fire departments, volunteer emergency medical services personnel, and the Commonwealth's Attorneys' Services Council. In addition to these representatives, three members of the Senate shall be appointed by the Senate Committee on Privileges and Elections and three members of the House of Delegates shall be appointed by the Speaker of the House of Delegates to serve as liaisons to the task force on behalf of the Senate Committees on Education and Health, Rehabilitation and Social Services, and Courts of Justice and the House Committees on Health, Welfare, and Institutions and Courts of Justice. The members of the General Assembly so appointed as liaisons to the task force shall participate as appropriate in the work of the task force.
