SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Family abuse protective orders filed on behalf of minors. Provides that for purposes of filing a petition for preliminary protective order in a family abuse situation, the attorney for the Commonwealth or a law-enforcement officer may file a petition on behalf of a minor as his next friend if an emergency protective order was previously issued for the protection of such minor and the respondent is a parent, guardian, or person standing in loco parentis, and such petition is filed before the emergency protective order expires or within 24 hours of the expiration of such emergency protective order.
