SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Unlawful use of subaqueous beds; replacement of piers. Excludes the maintenance or replacement of previously authorized piers from Virginia Marine Resources Commission permitting requirements, so long as the reconstructed pier is in the existing footprint of the original pier.
SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Unlawful use of subaqueous beds; replacement of piers. Excludes the replacement of certain private piers used for noncommercial purposes from the requirement that a permit be issued by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission prior to taking certain actions regarding the beds of the bays, ocean, rivers, streams, or creeks that are the property of the Commonwealth.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Uniform Statewide Building Code; issuance of permits; exemptions for alterations for certain projects. Provides that once an applicant has obtained a permit for the construction of a deck, such applicant shall not be required to obtain or renew a permit to make alterations to, remove any structure to, or redesign such deck.
