SENATE BILL NO. 171 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the Senate Committee on Education and Health on January 20, 2022) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Senator Peake) A BILL to direct the Department of Health and the Department of Environmental Quality to develop a harmful algal bloom mitigation plan.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Department of Health and Department of Environmental Quality shall develop a harmful algal bloom mitigation plan for Lake Anna through or in conjunction with a public institution of higher learning and other organizations as deemed necessary.
