4. That the Department of Environmental Quality (the Department) shall convene a work group of stakeholders to determine the feasibility of setting a statewide methane reduction goal and plan to achieve the same. The Department shall report its findings and recommendations to the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources, the Senate Committee on Commerce and Labor, the House Committee on Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources, and the House Committee on Commerce and Energy by July 1, 2023.
