SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Limitation on recovery; manufacture, distribution, or prescription of opioids. Eliminates the limitation on the total amount of (i) punitive damages against a manufacturer or distributor of opioids or (ii) damages for medical malpractice against a health care provider for the prescription of opioids in excess of the recommended dosage or quantity that can be awarded in an action arising out of injury to or death of a person as a result of such person's use of such opioids.
