HOUSE BILL NO. 1307 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the House Committee on Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources on January 22, 2020) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Walker) A BILL to amend and reenact § 29.1-504 of the Code of Virginia, relating to hunting laws; novice booklet.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 29.1-504 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 29.1-504. Annual publication of laws and regulations.

All The Department shall develop annually and publish in print or electronically all laws relating to hunting, fishing, and trapping, together with the regulations of the Board, of both general and local application, shall be published annually by the Department in a handbook or pamphlet. The Department shall include in such publication a separate section or insert intended for use by novice hunters, trappers, anglers, and boaters. The courts of the Commonwealth shall take judicial notice of all laws and regulations contained in such publication.
