HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 4039 Commending the Lord Botetourt High School volleyball team.

 

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, July 9, 2019

 

WHEREAS, the Lord Botetourt High School volleyball team won the Virginia High School League Class 3 state championship on November 16, 2018; and

WHEREAS, the Lord Botetourt High School Cavaliers defeated the Tabb High School Tigers in straight sets in the state final held at the Salem Civic Center; and

WHEREAS, the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers won by scores of 25 - 21, 25 - 18, and 25 - 15 to secure their second consecutive state title; and

WHEREAS, the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers achieved victory through the hard work and dedication of all the student-athletes, the leadership of coaches and staff, and the passionate support of the entire Lord Botetourt High School community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Lord Botetourt High School volleyball team hereby be commended on winning the Virginia High School League Class 3 state championship in 2018; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Lord Botetourt High School volleyball team as an expression of the House of Delegates’ admiration for the team’s achievements and best wishes for the future.
