HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 4023
Commending Bob Mosier.

 

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, July 9, 2019

 

WHEREAS, Bob Mosier, sheriff of Fauquier County, has served as a law-enforcement professional for more than 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Bob Mosier has been selected by law-enforcement agencies for special assignments at local, state, and federal levels upon recognition of his various talents; and

WHEREAS, Bob Mosier has demonstrated his leadership ability by serving as a GS-15 deputy senior executive police advisor for the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs in Iraq with the United States Department of State; and

WHEREAS, Bob Mosier was appointed the 60th sheriff of Fauquier County in 2015 and helped the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office achieve law-enforcement accreditation under the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission; and

WHEREAS, under Bob Mosier’s leadership, the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office has adopted and utilized cutting-edge technology, allowing the department to more effectively serve and protect the community; and

WHEREAS, Bob Mosier was presented with the MAGNUS Princeps Award by the National Command & Staff College and the Criminal Justice Commission for Credible Leadership Development in June 2018 in recognition of his work to implement initiatives that have strengthened the relationship between the citizens of Fauquier County and the Sheriff’s Office; and

WHEREAS, Bob Mosier was named Citizen of the Year of the Scott District in 2016; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Bob Mosier hereby be commended for his contributions to the Fauquier County community as a law-enforcement officer; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Bob Mosier as an expression of the House of Delegates’ admiration for his legacy of service.
