SB 1567 Towing fees; sets maximum towing hookup and initial towing fees.

SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:

Localities; towing fees. Provides that localities in Planning District 8 and Planning District 16 shall establish by ordinance a hookup and initial towing fee of no less than $135 and no more than $150. Current law authorizes such localities to set the hookup and initial towing fee at $135.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Towing fees. Sets maximum towing hookup and initial towing fees at $150 for all localities. Current law authorizes local governing bodies to set towing fee limits different from the maximums retained by the bill.
