SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Emergency custody orders and preliminary detention orders; transportation; reimbursement. Provides that if any health benefit plan provides coverage for the transportation of a covered person subject to an emergency custody order or a temporary detention order, any law-enforcement agency providing such transportation services to such covered person shall receive reimbursement for such services directly from the health carrier issuing such plan, when the health carrier is presented with an assignment of benefits by the law-enforcement agency providing such services. The bill limits such reimbursement to $35 per hour and mileage as prescribed by law for travel on state business for every mile of actual travel.
