SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

Virginia Department of Health; monitoring of health care-associated infections. Requires health care facilities that are required to report information about health care-associated infections (HAIs) to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) to release such data to the Board of Health through the NHSN.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Virginia Department of Health; monitoring of health care-associated infections. Provides for the release of data on health care-associated infections (HAIs) to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) by health care facilities located in the Commonwealth. Such data shall also be released to the Virginia Department of Health, either by the health care facility or through the NHSN, and to the public upon request.
