SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians Procedural Guarantee Act; breach of procedures. Provides that any evidence gathered through the conduct of an interrogation that violates the provisions of the Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians Procedural Guarantee Act shall not be admissible in any case against a firefighter or emergency medical services personnel.

SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians Procedural Guarantee Act; breach of procedures. Provides that any evidence gathered solely through an interrogation that breached any procedures required by the Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians Procedural Guarantee Act shall be excluded from being presented in any case against a firefighter or emergency medical services personnel.

Creates a cause of action for breach of procedures under the Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians Procedural Guarantee Act. The bill removes certain provisions limiting the effect of rights granted by the Act.
