SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Health care professionals; advertising. Prohibits a health care professional from including in any advertisement a reference to marijuana, unless such advertisement is for the treatment of addiction or substance abuse. However, a person registered with the Board of Pharmacy to issue written certifications for the use of cannabidiol or THC-A oil may include such information in an advertisement.

However, a person registered with the Board of Pharmacy to issue written certifications for the use of cannabidiol or THC-A oil may include such information in an advertisement.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Marijuana; advertisement prohibited; penalty. Prohibits any person other than a person who holds a permit as a pharmaceutical processor from advertising through any verbal, written, graphic, or other manner the sale or distribution of marijuana in the Commonwealth. Any person violating the prohibition is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.
