19105486DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of § 58.1-3 of the Code of Virginia, the commissioner of the revenue, treasurer, director of finance, or other similar local official who collects or administers taxes for the City of Manassas Park may disclose tax information to the City of Manassas Park's financial officer appointed pursuant to § 15.2-1537 of the Code of Virginia and chief administrative officer appointed pursuant to § 15.2-1540 of the Code of Virginia. Such information shall not be disclosed unless the commissioner of the revenue, treasurer, director of finance, or other similar local official has obtained a written acknowledgment from the financial officer and chief administrative officer that the confidentiality and nondisclosure obligations of and penalties set forth in subsection A of § 58.1-3 of the Code of Virginia apply to such officers and that such officers agree to abide by such obligations.
2. That the provisions of this act shall expire on July 1, 2021.
