SENATE BILL NO. 1135 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the Senate Committee on Rehabilitation and Social Services on January 25, 2019) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Senator Favola) A BILL to require local departments of social services to notify the community services board when a child in foster care is identified as having a developmental disability.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the local department of social services shall notify the appropriate community services board as soon as it is known that a child in the foster care system has a developmental disability so that the community services board may screen the child for placement on the Family and Individual Supports waiver waiting list.
