19105382DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 29.1-528.3 as follows:
§ 29.1-528.3. Firearms ordinances; property in multiple localities.
When one or more contiguous parcels of land owned by a
particular landowner span two or more localities whose firearms ordinances
differ, [ the landowner may elect to have ] the firearms
ordinances of the locality in which the largest portion of the [ landowner's
property contiguous parcel of land ] lies [ shall
to ] apply to anyone hunting on any portion of the property [ .
Any such hunter also shall follow all applicable state hunting laws and
regulations. , and shall notify the Department of Game and Inland
Fisheries of such election. ]
