SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:

Signs or advertisements. Removes the requirement that a sign placed on real property visible to traffic proceeding on any Interstate System highway and advertising activities being conducted on the real property be located no more than 250 feet from the center of the advertised activity. This bill is identical to HB 1523.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Signs or advertisements; truck stops. Provides that, for any truck stop with at least 50 truck or tractor truck parking spaces, no sign advertising activities conducted at such truck stop may be located more than 500 feet from the edge of the paved or concrete parking lot of such truck stop. Current law requires any such sign to be no more than 250 feet from the center of the advertised activity, regardless of the type of activity or type of parking lot.
