1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding sections numbered 35.1-5.1 and 36-105.1:2 and by adding in Chapter 3.2 of Title 44 a section numbered 44-146.29:3 as follows:
§ 35.1-5.1. Expedited inspection schedule; disaster.
A. For the purposes of this section, "small business" means an independently owned and operated business that, together with affiliates, has 250 or fewer employees or average annual gross receipts of $10 million or less averaged over the previous three years.
B. Pursuant to § 44-146.29:3, in the event that a small business has been impacted by a disaster for which the Governor has declared a state of emergency, the Commissioner or his designee shall conduct any inspections that are required in order for the small business to resume normal business operations within 15 days of receipt of a request for an inspection made by such small business.
§ 36-105.1:2. Expedited inspection schedule; disaster.
A. For the purposes of this section, "small business" means an independently owned and operated business that, together with affiliates, has 250 or fewer employees or average annual gross receipts of $10 million or less averaged over the previous three years.
B. Pursuant to § 44-146.29:3, in the event that a small business has been impacted by a disaster for which the Governor has declared a state of emergency, local building departments shall conduct any inspections that are required in order for the small business to resume normal business operations within 15 days of receipt of a request for an inspection made by such small business.
§ 44-146.29:3. Expedited inspections required.
A. For the purposes of this section, "small business" means an independently owned and operated business that, together with affiliates, has 250 or fewer employees or average annual gross receipts of $10 million or less averaged over the previous three years.
B. In the event that a small business has been impacted by a disaster for which the Governor has declared a state of emergency, any agency of state or local government responsible for conducting inspections for compliance with minimum established standards for health and safety shall conduct any such inspections as are required for the small business to resume normal business operations within 15 days of receipt of a request for an inspection made by such small business.
