Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That, notwithstanding the provisions of subsection H of § 20-108.2 of the Code of Virginia, the Secretary of Health and Human Resources shall ensure that the child support guidelines set forth in § 20-108.2 of the Code of Virginia are reviewed by the Child Support Guidelines Review Panel (the Panel) by October 1, 2018. The Panel shall identify any modifications to the Commonwealth's current child support guidelines that are necessary in order to bring such guidelines into compliance with the provisions of 45 C.F.R. § 302.56 by December 31, 2019.

The chairman of the Panel shall report the Panel's findings to the Governor and the General Assembly by November 1, 2018. The report shall be submitted as provided in the procedures of the Division of Legislative Automated Systems for the processing of legislative documents and reports and shall be posted on the General Assembly's website.

The Department of Social Services shall provide staff support to the Panel. All agencies of the Commonwealth shall provide assistance to the Panel, upon request.
