SUMMARY AS PASSED:

James River State Scenic River designation. Extends the scenic river designation of a portion of the James River located in Botetourt and Rockbridge Counties from 14 miles to 59 miles. This bill is identical to HB 1454.

SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:

James River State Scenic River designation. Designates a 10.2-mile section of the James River from the Rockbridge-Botetourt County line to the Rockbridge-Amherst-Bedford County line as a component of the Virginia Scenic Rivers System. The bill also provides that the designation shall not affect the operation of the Gathright Dam
