SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Defrauding certain entities; penalties. Provides that it is a Class 1 misdemeanor for a person, without paying for, and with the intent to cheat or defraud the owner or keeper, to use a ski lift without a valid lift ticket or ski pass.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Defrauding certain entities; penalties. Provides that it is unlawful for a person, without paying for, and with the intent to cheat or defraud the owner or keeper, to gain entrance to a ski resort or to do so without having an express agreement for credit to procure food, entertainment, or accommodation from a ski resort. The bill also provides that it is unlawful, with the intent to cheat or defraud, to obtain credit at a ski resort through misrepresentation or false statement. The penalty is a Class 1 misdemeanor if the value received is less than $200 and a Class 5 felony if the value received is $200 or more.
