SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Nonpayment of child support and fines; suspension of driver's license; ability to pay; written findings. Prohibits the court from suspending the driver's license of a person who has failed to pay his fines or child support if the court finds that the person's failure to pay is due to his inability to pay. The bill requires that a hearing be held prior to the suspension of a person's driver's license for the nonpayment of fines and that the court make a written finding for the suspension of a person's license due to nonpayment of fines or child support. The bill requires the court to include certain information in a notice of intent issued to a person who has failed to pay child support or fines.
