SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Interior lights; requirements. Requires the operator of a motor vehicle, autocycle, road roller, road machinery, or tractor equipped with an interior light or lights used on a highway to ensure that such lights are in good working order and removes duplicative language. The bill further requires an operator of such vehicle equipped with interior lights to illuminate such lights upon stopping after having received a visible or audible signal from any law-enforcement officer to bring his motor vehicle to a stop between sunset and sunrise. The bill requires the Department of State Police to amend its regulations such that a motor vehicle safety inspection shall include an inspection of interior lights to ensure that such lights are in good working order.
