17101161DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 54.1-3940 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 54.1-3940. Solicitation.
It shall be unlawful for an attorney to solicit professional employment in a manner that violates the Virginia Code of Professional Responsibility. It shall further be unlawful for an attorney to solicit professional employment from a person charged with a traffic infraction, as defined in § 46.2-100, or with reckless driving pursuant to Article 7 (§ 46.2-852 et seq.) of Chapter 8 of Title 46.2, until 30 days after a summons containing such a charge is issued to such person.
