Department of Criminal Justice Services; community policing. Revises the powers and duties of the Department of Criminal Justice Services by combining and streamlining duties related to the promotion of community policing by providing training, technical assistance, and consulting services; reviewing community policing programs in the Commonwealth; and serving as a statewide information source.
