SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Department of Veterans Services; Virginia War Memorial Division; names and homes of record designation for Virginians "Killed in Action." Clarifies that Virginians Killed in Action (i) as a result of military operations against terrorism, (ii) as a result of a terrorist act, or (iii) in any armed conflict after December 7, 1941, shall be included on the Shrine of Memory at the Virginia War Memorial of Virginians after July 1, 2018. The bill also provides that the names and homes of record designation of all Virginians "Killed in Action" be placed on the Virginia War Memorial within one year of the date of confirmed death.
