SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Sale of newborn calves; certification; colostrum. Requires any seller of a newborn cow calf to certify that the calf received at least four quarts of colostrum during its first six hours. The bill authorizes the Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services to impose a civil penalty of up to $50 per violation, to be deposited in the Feed, Lime, Fertilizer, and Animal Remedies Fund.
