SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Excise tax on peanuts. Extends from July 1, 2016, to July 1, 2021, the sunset of the $0.30 per 100 pounds excise tax on all peanuts grown in and sold in Virginia. The proceeds from the tax are used for promoting the sales and use of Virginia peanuts. This bill is identical to SB 1.
