SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Regulation of X-ray machines. Clarifies the authority of the Department of Health (the Department) related to registration and inspection of X-ray producing devices and requires the Department to develop a list of qualified private inspectors of X-ray machines and develop regulations for the annual registration of such private inspectors. The bill authorizes the Department to collect a fee, not to exceed $150, for registration of private inspectors of X-ray machines.

Regulation of X-ray machines. The bill authorizes the Department to collect a fee for registration of private inspectors of X-ray machines.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Regulation of X-ray machines. Expands the authority of the Department of Health (the Department) to regulate X-ray machines to include all such machines; under current law, the Department is authorized to regulate those X-ray machines used in the healing arts. The bill also requires the Department to adopt regulations for qualifications and registration of private inspectors of X-rays and X-ray machines.
