SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Bail bondsmen; solicitation of business. Provides that any bail bondsman who directly solicits business from any person in court, jail, lock-up, or surrounding government property is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor. The bill also provides that any bail bondsman who (i) directly solicits business with any person in court, jail, lock-up, or surrounding government property; (ii) loiters by a jail or magistrate's office without legitimate business; or (iii) refers a client for whom he has posted bond to an attorney for profit is subject to existing monetary penalties.
