Celebrating the life of Crystal Sheree Hamilton.

WHEREAS, Crystal Sheree Hamilton, a beloved member of the Prince William County community who devoted her life to the service of others, died on February 27, 2016; and

WHEREAS, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, Crystal Hamilton graduated from Hanahan High School in South Carolina and studied at Cape Fear Community College in North Carolina; and

WHEREAS, Crystal Hamilton worked as a clerk at a Comfort Inn and Suites hotel for three years, then answered her calling to support and inspire others as a recovery care coordinator for the United States Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment; and

WHEREAS, as a recovery care coordinator, Crystal Hamilton arranged for healthcare visits and travel for convalescent veterans; she worked at the Quantico and Bethesda offices and touched the lives of countless Marines as they recovered from injuries and worked to return to duty or to reintegrate into civilian life; and

WHEREAS, Crystal Hamilton never met a stranger and was a devoted friend to many people; her passion for service was evident to everyone who knew her; and

WHEREAS, Crystal Hamilton will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her mother, Cherry; sister, Wendy; beloved son, Tyriq; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Crystal Sheree Hamilton; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Crystal Sheree Hamilton as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for her memory.
