Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. The Department of Medical Assistance Services shall issue a Request for Proposal for statewide nonemergency medical transportation services as soon as reliable rate setting is available, in order to enter a new contract by  [ January  July  ] 1, 2017.
