HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 93 Offered January 26, 2016 Commending the Stone Bridge High School girls' volleyball team. ---------- Patron-- Greason ----------

WHEREAS, the Stone Bridge High School girls’ volleyball team celebrated an impressive 2015 season by winning the Virginia High School League Group 5A volleyball championship; and

WHEREAS, the talented and hardworking members of the Stone Bridge High School team took home the school’s first state title in girls’ volleyball on November 21, 2015, defeating a strong squad from Potomac Falls High School, 3 - 2, in the championship match; and

WHEREAS, Jill Raschiatore, head coach of the Stone Bridge High School Bulldogs, said that the 2015 team was well balanced with multiple hitters and setters and that depth helped move the team forward throughout its record-setting 25 - 3 season; and

WHEREAS, in a close five-set title match, which was played in Richmond, the lead changed four times; in the decisive final encounter between the two schools from Loudoun County, the Stone Bridge High School volleyball team performed almost flawlessly, winning 15 - 3; and

WHEREAS, the members of the Bulldogs girls’ volleyball team benefited throughout the season from the strong and enthusiastic support of their families, friends, fellow students, and the faculty and staff of Stone Bridge High School; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Stone Bridge High School girls’ volleyball team hereby be commended for winning the 2015 Virginia High School League Group 5A volleyball championship; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Jill Raschiatore, head coach of the Stone Bridge High School girls’ volleyball team, as an expression of the House of Delegates’ congratulations and admiration for the team’s outstanding accomplishments and championship season.
